MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) –  Mesquite Police are looking for an unidentified man who is suspected of stealing copper from several air conditioning at a local elementary school.

Police were called to Range Elementary, located at 2600 Bamboo St., Thursday evening after a school official noticed the theft.  Police say the suspect was seen on surveillance cameras hanging out on campus from 1:30 to 4:40 that afternoon.

Investigators discovered most of the copper from the air conditioning units on the roof had been stripped and released surveillance photos of the suspect.

The man is described as a white man, between 40-50 years old, with grey hair and a beard.  He is also seen wearing glasses in the photo.

Anyone with information about the identity of this person is urged to contact Investigator B. Ricketts at 972-216-6297 or 972-216-6759.
