DALLAS (KRLD) — Looking for something to do this weekend? Tasha Stevens has you covered!
If you are geekalicious, check out Quake Con — the 2014 Video Game Convention at the Hilton Anatole this weekend (July 17-20). Thousands of computer gamers from all over the world make the pilgrimage to play with their friends on a giant gaming network, see the latest cool technology, and compete in world-class tournaments.
This band had a hit back in 2004 with “Headstrong” and later with “Who’s Going Home with You Tonight?” Check out Trapt at Trees on Thursday.

Speaking of spacey, she has a new album, so she is doing the tour thing to go along with it. Check out Lady Gaga Thursday at the AAC!
This chick is doing a free show on Thursday at the Southside Ballroom, but it may be hard to get in. All the online tickets are gone, but certain Kroger stores around the metroplex are selling them. If you can make it in the door, check out Demi Lovato tonight.
Check out The Summer Bash at the Gaylord Texan. This deal involves 4.5 acres of indoor gardens, dining specials, and a 10-acre pool and lazy river playground. From Pool-A-Palooza and Friday Night Fireworks, to Margarita Madness and Wine & Cheese Pairings, there is tons of stuff to do.
If you didn’t get enough KISS this past weekend, check out Kiss Army — a KISS tribute Saturday night at Gas Monkey Bar and Grill.
If TOOL is more your scene, check out Tool tribute Toology at the House of Blues on Saturday night.
Saturday night, it is another edition of the Dallas Zoo Safari Nights! Hang out with some of the zoo’s wildest stars, plus enjoy live music from Petty Theft — a Tom Petty tribute band.
It is Blue Bell Ice Cream Sunday this weekend (July 20) at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth. Beat the heat at the Kimbell again this summer during their celebration of National Ice Cream Day. Additional highlights include free family gallery tours and children’s films presented in partnership with the Lone Star Film Society.
If you missed it last weekend, no worries! The DFW Summer Boat Expo is back this weekend (July 19-20) at Dallas Market Hall. This is the largest boating event in North Texas.
These guys came on the scene back in the 90’s and have been giving us righteous tunes ever since. See The Mavericks Saturday night at the Granada Theater.

One of my favorite bands of all time is playing Saturday night. Boston is playing Choctaw Casino. They say the show is sold out, but you could still go to the casino and wait for the no shows.
