Here’s Latest on Rain Chances This Week for DFW
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Coverage will not be high so not everyone will see rain.
A cold front has passed thru DFW this morning. And south of DFW closer to the cold front is where rain chances will be slightly higher thru the evening.
Muggy and warm with temperatures in the 90s. There will be a small chance of rain mainly west of DFW.
Rain chances will favor the northern half of North Texas with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s.
Thursday looks to be the best chance of rain. There will be rain in the morning favoring the northern half. In the afternoon, the favored area of rain will be the southern half. Where does that leave DFW? There is a chance we could miss out on the rain altogether Thursday. It will depend on the evolution of the rain we see in the morning.
Rain chances will be very low Friday. Only chance of rain will be the extreme southern half of North Texas.
COOL WEATHER TO START AUGUST
The average high this time of year thru early August is 97 degrees. We will stay below average later this week all the way thru the first 10 days of August! Highs will likely be in the upper 80s to mid 90s range. There will also be more rain chances next week.
