Trending: Aggies Big Win, Cancer Patient Going Home, Hug It Out With A Lion
AGGIES BIG WIN
There are a lot of happy Aggies out there Friday after Texas A&M kicked off the college football season with a bang.
The school was trending on social media thanks to the team’s big win on the road against South Carolina.
Video of the Aggie’s locker room celebration went viral, showing Coach Kevin Sumlin yelling with the players in the middle of what looks like a massive ice bucket challenge.
With last night’s Aggie win, more than 600 people scored free furniture.
The Ashley Furniture in College Station said it would pay for all purchases from August 16th through the 27th if Texas A&M won by 10 points.
That adds up to more than one million dollars in free furniture.
CANCER PATIENT GOING HOME
There is no place like home, especially when you’re seven and have spent 23 straight days in the hospital.
Cancer patient Avery Harriman got the good news that he could go home after nearly a month of intense chemotherapy – and his reaction was caught on video.
His dad shared the video on Facebook where it’s been liked and shared thousands of times.
Avery was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2 and will be back at the hospital next week for a bone marrow biopsy.
HUG IT OUT
Finally, one big cat hug, and it’s not quite the hug you might expect — when the cat is a huge lioness.
You can see the lioness is very excited to see one of the founders of the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana as she paces back and forth while he opens the gate.
When the gate is open, she gives him a hug that almost knocks him over.
The guy who captured this video posted in on YouTube where it’s been viewed 1.6 million times and wrote “This is one of the best experiences of my life.”
