Silver Alert For Farmers Branch Dementia Patient Cancelled

FARMERS BRANCH (CBSDFW.COM) – Around 8:30 p.m. Farmers Branch Police report Benjamin McCoy was found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY

Farmers Branch Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man that walked away from Dallas Medical Center around noon Monday.

Benjamin McCoy is 67 years old, black, with a shaved head with a grayish goatee and brown eyes.

McCoy is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

He suffers from dementia and officials are concerned for his welfare due to other medical concerns.

He was last seen wearing a dark gray sleeveless shirt and blue sweat pants, walking towards Webb Chapel Road, near the hospital, but in an unknown direction of travel from that point.

Anyone with information about Mr. McCoy’s whereabouts should contact Farmers Branch Police immediately at 972.484.3620.
