NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) — CBS 11 has issued a Weather Alert Day due to the potential for heavy rains and flash flooding in north Texas through at least 6pm tonight.

Several areas around DFW have already seen heavy rains and the ground is already saturated.

A Flash Flood Watch and several Flash Flood Warnings are also currently in effect. Click Here for the latest warning info and more weather information.

Heavy rains are expected to linger in the area through at least tomorrow morning due to the unusually slow moving storms.

The almost stationary storms are — very slowly — moving east to west as the entire complex moves from areas south of DFW.
