DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas police are investigating the shooting death of a man who was the manager of a group home early Saturday morning.

Officers received a call regarding the shooting at approximately 6:45 a.m. at a group home on the 7000 block of Forest Parkway.

When officers arrived at the location, Dallas Fire Rescue was already transporting the victim to Baylor Hospital. Police said the victim died a shot time after arriving at the hospital.

The homicide unit was called to the scene where they learned the victim and two females were involved in a verbal argument over money. Police said the females were not residents of the group home.

Investigators said the man stood between the two females and the front door of the home, which prevented their exit.

According to investigators, one of the females took out a handgun and shot the man, and both females fled the home on foot.

Police are still actively investigating.
