ROCKWALL (CBSDFW.COM) –  Rockwall Police said someone called the Rockwall County Republican Headquarters on Kenway Drive and made a threat against the office.

Rockwall County Sheriff’s deputies and Rockwall Police officers responded to the headquarters shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

The two law enforcement agencies said they are working together to investigate the incident and the FBI has been contacted to assist.

Anyone who may have information regarding this incident can contact the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office at 972-204-7001 or the Rockwall Police Department at 972-771-7724.

Over the weekend in North Carolina, a bottle filled with flammable liquid was thrown through the window of the Orange County Republican Party Headquarters.

It damaged the interior before burning out, according to authorities. Someone also spray-painted “Nazi Republicans leave town or else” on a nearby wall.

The office was empty early Sunday morning and no one was injured.
