DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – If you don’t have a spending limit this Christmas, then the Neiman Marcus catalog might have the perfect gift ideas for you. The retailer released their annual holiday catalog on Wednesday, featuring some fantasy options for shoppers with very deep pockets.
The catalog filled with high-end items is a 90-year tradition for the Dallas luxury department store.
Interested in a walk-on role in a new Broadway musical? It only costs $30,000.
How about his and hers island cars, upholstered by Lilly Pulitzer fabric. Those are $65,000 each.
Shoppers can also pick up a private plane, sports cars or even a slumber party in the company’s flagship store. The gifts inside of this year’s Christmas book range in price from $10 all the way up to $1.5 million. So, even though the more expensive items will always attract the most attention, there really is something for everyone.
A spokesperson for Neiman Marcus explained that the company receives about 200 proposals each year for fantasy gifts, and the list gets narrowed down from there. While most shoppers cannot afford the priciest items, it is always fun to dream. “What we’ve always said is, when you’re a child, you might dream at Christmastime of a Barbie Dream House or a new bicycle,” said Ginger Reeder with Neiman Marcus. “We’ve just upped the ante.”
The luxury gifts also serve a greater purpose. Sales of the high-end fantasy holiday items benefit charities which support arts experiences for children.
