Guide To Homeschooling

Homeschooling is big in Texas. Many parents aren’t satisfied with the options that public and private schools offer, and they choose to educate their kids themselves. Texas law is very friendly to homeschoolers. As a result, there are many resources available to help parents who choose to homeschool their kids.

Homeschoolers EXCEL

Membership is $20 per year, and includes a newsletter, access to a website and activities.

North Texas Home Educators’ Network

Staff@NTHEN.org www.nthen.org The North Texas Home Educators’ Network (NTHEN) provides services and support to homeschool families and homeschool support groups in north and northeast Texas, with special events and field trips to tutoring and sports.

Tarrant Home Education Association

membership@theaonline.org www.theaonline.org Tarrant Home Education Association (THEA) was founded in 1992 and obtained nonprofit status in 1993. THEA is an inclusive, secular (non-religious affiliated) support group for Tarrant County, Texas and the surrounding area for families who educate their children at home.
