WASHINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – The Dallas Mavericks spent Monday morning in the presence of the nation’s highest elected official: President Barack Obama.
As is customary, the President hosted the NBA champions in the East Room of the White House. Lest we forget that glorious run, the Mavs topped the Miami Heat in six games, putting a swift end to the hope that Miami would win in the year it created the triumvirate of Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.
Mavericks players, owner Mark Cuban and a host of reporters logged the monumental honor on Twitter. We’ve grouped those together below using the social media timeline service Storify to form a narrative of what the day was like. Give it a look.
