Iris Bekker Jeffreys

 Iris Bekker Jeffreys is midday editor at KRLD and is responsible for building and organizing the newscasts from 10 to 3, Monday thru Friday in addition to keeping track of breaking news stories, and assigning reporters stories to help shape the day.

Iris has been in the news/radio business since her college days at the University of North Texas, where she was news director at KNTU – the college run station.  While in college she worked as a producer for USA Radio.

She was hired at WBAP out of college as an afternoon reporter before working at KEWS, a short-lived FM all news station.  Shortly after getting married to her husband Brett in 1996 she worked the assignment desk at CBS-11 News, and was later hired by KRLD.

Iris worked at KRLD part time for years while their kids Dylan and Hannah were younger. She recently returned to full time when KRLD went to All News, and her husband Brett took the small business plunge and purchased a Handyman Matters franchise.

Iris and family live in Mansfield with their puppy Aika.
