Mark Elfenbein

Mark Elfenbein  Born in Houston, Mark is a 1979 graduate of Hillcrest High School Dallas, Texas.  University of Texas at Austin 1979-1983, (Broadcast/Journalism) Graduated University of Texas at Dallas 1983. Mark currently lives in Plano with his wife of 26 years, Connie.  Mark & Connie have two sons, Landon 22 & Tanner 19. Their only daughter is Allie, their Yellow Lab.

Mark has been talking sports on DFW airwaves for over 20 consecutive years. Dating back to sports talk on KERA 90.1 FM, to being host of his own Morning Show (5-9am) on Prime Sports Radio for 2 ½ years. Along the way, Mark has done multiple shows for over 17 years. For the past two years, Mark hosted the Dallas Mavericks Post game show with Mavs TV PBP voice, Mark Followill at the Old # 7 Jack Daniels Club after every Maverick home game. Mark currently hosts Timeout w/ ELF, a Dallas Mavericks pregame preview for all games on Dallas Mavericks Facebook radio.

Mark has been Ring Announcer and Emcee for the Dallas Real Estate Council Fight Night at the Anatole for the past 16 years. A bit of irony is Mark’s grandfather  was Ring Announcer at New York’s, Madison Square Garden for over 45 years.  He’s a huge fan of boxing and the announcing still runs in the family. Mark’s parents and family all live in the DFW area.

Previous to and during almost all of the years in radio, Mark was co-owner of Imperial Textiles Sales at the Apparel Mart in Dallas. He worked with his father  from 1984-1999. From there, Mark  started  his career with Centex Homes. He won Rookie of the Year in new home sales at the McSam Awards and followed that up with salesman of the year his second year at the McSam Awards.

A huge fan of all sports but Boxing is number one. Followed by Football, Basketball, Baseball, MMA, Tennis, Golf, Hockey, and others fall into place from there.  Love snow skiing, beaching it, music, movies, and good dining. If I’m not smiling, it’s rare. I enjoy life and love having fun.  Can’t wait to make 105.3 The Fan number one. Let’s get to work and make some money!
