I became involved in radio when I realized I was too short to play in the NBA. During my college radio days, I did everything from jock to news, later becoming the music director and, eventually, general manager of the station. While in school, I also worked at a couple of local stations.
After graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism, I moved to Denver for a couple of years and, then, to Dallas in 1993. I actually worked for KRLD as a technical operator soon after relocating here. I began reporting traffic in 1995 after learning the craft from many talented people(including Mr. Rob Scivally). My traffic reporting career includes a 17+ year stint with KSCS-FM and 10 years on WFAA-TV.
When I’m not working, I’m usually working out/running. I’ve run several half marathons and am getting ready to begin training for my first full marathon soon. I’m an avid sports fan, love listening to music and attending concerts. I wear my Louisiana roots on my sleeve, mainly by cooking Cajun/Creole dishes when I have time
