Last week, the DFW area saw high temperatures that were significantly cooler, including a Saturday that was only in the 70s. This week is expected to feel like a typical July.
As folks across DFW head back to work on Monday, temperatures will be back to where they belong for this time of the year. Monday might be the coolest day of the work week.
It was another morning with temperatures in the 60s across North Texas on Sunday, a lovely start to a summer day. However, we are going to return to July temperatures.
For the first time in two days, we did not break a record low of some kind. However, we came within one degree of tying a record low and one degree of tying a record coldest high.
DFW got within one degree of equaling a record low on Saturday morning, and it has stayed cool since. The area has seen cloudy skies with a light east wind.
It’s hard to believe that we were in the triple digits to start this week and as we end it, we’re experiencing record cool for July in North Texas. We first set a temperature record on Thursday for the coolest high temp on that date (79°) and then this morning we set a new record low at DFW.
