DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Virgin Airlines has announced plans to fly to several destinations departing from the Dallas Love Field Airport, in a plan to takeover the two gates currently used by American Airlines.
The low-cost carrier has already started selling tickets priced at $79 each to LaGuardia Airport in New York City, LAX in Los Angeles, San Francisco International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The new routes are scheduled to begin in October.
However, the City of Dallas’ Twitter page stated Friday morning, “No decisions have been made regarding carriers operating out of 2 Love Field gates.” A briefing in regards to this issue is scheduled for Monday.
Considering today’s developments, would you buy a Virgin Airlines ticket flying from Dallas Love Field.
