Today Edgar & I took our first trip outside the wire of Bagram Airfield. We tagged along with a military police company out Fort Richardson in Alaska.

It’s a snow day at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan but when you’re in a war zone you never get the day off.
We just spent about 40 minutes inside a concrete bunker after the base received indirect missile fire. The alarm sounded almost exactly at midnight.

When we arrived it was 7 degrees outside. We’ve warmed up quite a bit to 39 degrees on a very sunny day.
We were only supposed to be here overnight. 24 hours at the most.
