Dallas has been named as one of only four cities still in the running to host the next Republican National Convention. During the second week of June members of the RNC site selection committee will visit North Texas.
After a lot of promotion and hard work a North Texas delegation is crossing their fingers now and hoping Dallas is chosen as the home for the 2016 Republican National Convention.
The new “Heart of Dallas” bowl, which debuted New Year’s Day at the old Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas Fair Park, is unique. It is run as a non-profit to benefit local charities.
The City of Dallas has a new tag line and logo. The message – “Big Things Happen Here” or “Cosas Grandes Pasan Aqui”.
It could soon cost a little more to stay in a big Dallas hotel. The Dallas City Council is considering allowing hotels, with more than 100 rooms, to charge an additional 2-percent in sales tax.
City leaders get to officially unveil the new Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas on Friday. This project has been in the works for years.
