Dallas Fire-Rescue Department
Funeral services have been set for the Dallas firefighter who fell to his death while assisting with a major car crash during Monday’s ice storm.
Tuesday night a Dallas firefighter was being remembered as a father, husband and man who died helping others. It was late Monday when William “Scott” Tanksley was working at the scene of a crash on the southbound Spur 408 exit-ramp.
The Dallas Fire-Rescue Department is investigating the events of a deadly morning in May when five firefighters were ordered back into a burning building three times and one firefighter lost his life.
