Lewisville Lake Nears 100-Year Flood Mark

Lewisville Lake inched Saturday towards its 100-year flood mark after another overnight rain storm along with additional water flowing into the lake from upstream. The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers closed the lake to boaters out of concern large wakes would flood nearby homes.

Flood Fallout: Denton County Transportation Suspends Train Service

Due to severe flooding, the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) is suspending A-Train Service until Monday. DCTA will provide bus services that will pick up and drop off near the platform at each station.

2 Struck By DCTA A-Train In Unauthorized Area

One person was killed and another hurt when they were struck by a Denton County Transportation Authority A-Train while walking in an unauthorized area near Lake Lewisville Saturday afternoon, said DCTA spokesman Dee Leggett.
