After spending 12 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Michael Phillips will finally be exonerated on Friday morning in Dallas.

State Bill Would Require DNA Testing For Death Penalty

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott and Democratic Sen. Rodney Ellis want to require that all biological evidence in a murder trial be tested for DNA before a prosecutor can seek the death penalty.

Corsicana Man Convicted In ’81 Stabbing Death Freed

A 58-year-old Corsicana man walked free Monday after serving years for a crime he didn’t commit — the repeated stabbing of a woman whose body was found on a dirt road in rural Navarro County.

Texas Man Freed After DNA Clears Him Of 1988 Rape

After serving 24 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, today a North Texas man received an apology from a judge and a standing ovation. David Lee Wiggins was freed Friday after DNA tests proved he wasn’t the person who raped a 14-year-old girl.
