A Fort Worth police officer has been fired following his arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated after taking a prescription drug.
For nearly half an hour police in Fort Worth were involved in a high-speed chase with a man driving a black pickup. The chase weaved through the city — north on Alta Mesa, north on the Interstate-35 service road and west on the I-20 service road.
A police chase early Tuesday ended in gunfire and the suspected driver in the hospital. Police told CBS 11 News it began as a traffic stop.
