Texas Chancellor: No Trust In Campus President

The chancellor of the University of Texas System insists a lack of trust and communication led him to press for the resignation of the president of the Austin flagship campus.

UT Regents Meet After Powers Resigns

University of Texas System regents are meeting a day after the system announced the president of the Austin flagship campus will step down in June 2015.

Source: UT President Powers’ Resignation Demanded

A source tells the Associated Press that University of Texas System Chancellor Francisco Cigarroa told University of Texas at Austin President Bill Powers that he must resign or he will be fired.

University of Texas chancellor Francisco Cigarroa said that he is resigning because he has accomplished the goals that he set five years ago, not because of political turmoil.
