The Dallas Mavericks announced the team’s roster and schedule for the 2014 NBA Summer League, which will take place in Las Vegas in mid-July.
Australia’s Chris Goulding impressed enough in a recent workout that the Mavericks have reached an agreement for the star to join their Summer League team in Las Vegas.
The Dallas Mavericks have assigned rookie point guard Gal Mekel to the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League, the team announced on Tuesday.
Dallas announced the deal Thursday, making Gal Mekel the second Israeli-born player to sign with an NBA team.
Mavs GM Donnie Nelson confirmed that Andrew Bynum was in town, and said that he and agent David Lee “had a nice visit.”
Mekel’s agent, Sam Porter, says the 6-foot-3 Mekel has agreed to join the Mavericks on a three-year deal with $2.3 million guaranteed. Free agents can’t sign until July 10.
