A former Texas street gang member has been put to death for his involvement in the fatal shootings of four women during an ambush 11 years ago. Robert Gene Garza, 30, is the 12th inmate executed this year in Texas.
It only took a jury about four hours to agree that a North Texas gang member used an assault rifle to open fire on a rival gang’s house party. The 2011 incident left a young mother dead and seven others wounded.
