A judge, vilified by Republican presidential hopefuls for banning prayer at a Texas high school graduation, delivered an unusual response on Thursday.
To say Dionte Johnson was a troubled student in Middle School might be an understatement. “Been kicked out 3 or 4 times, got sent to an alternative school for fighting – doing the wrong stuff I shouldn’t have been doing,” says Johnson.
Hundreds of North Texas high school students recently celebrated a major achievement. During a ceremony at SMU, some 200 students not only declared where they were going to college, but also made a commitment to graduate.
