The goal of the City of Dallas ‘Grow South’ economic development plan is to improve the quality of life in southern Dallas. Today, a part of the equation focusing on jobs kicked off in Oak Cliff.
As a part of Dallas Mayor mike Rawlings’s Grow South initiative another “blighted structure” in the city was torn down today. Thursday’s knockdown was the 250th house demolition by the city.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings’ plan is to focus on areas that have already shown promise and to expand on that growth. Neighborhoods such as West Dallas and North Oak Cliff will see some of the initial investment.
