The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) has put together a new online guide meant to inform you when there has been a significant health insurance rate increase.

So far, the record drought, heat wave and wildfires across the state have caused an estimated $10 billion in damages. So, as insurance companies pay claims they will need to generate more revenue — and they’ll get it from you!
Farmers Insurance has filed for a 3.9 percent rate increase in Texas. The filing, with the Texas Department of Insurance, will affect about half the company’s customers in Texas.
