As heavy rain kept coming down in eastern Collin County, area creeks kept rising. The Josephine Fire Department says their city received eight inches of rain in just four hours Sunday morning. Firefighters rescued 12 people and 28 animals from the high water.
Rains that swept through North Texas caused flooding that closed some roads, seeped into homes, and caused the collapse of a bridge in Hunt County after 3 to 6 inches of rain fell across the already-saturated area Sunday.
After a frantic search, a missing Collin County girl turns up, not far from her home. Around 8:00 Friday morning police in Josephine received a call reporting an 8-year-old girl missing.
