Kenseth Holds Off Kahne To Win At Kansas

Matt Kenseth captured his second straight race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, holding off Kasey Kahne to become the third straight Sprint Cup driver to win from the pole.

Hamlin was back in the car Friday, a day after hitting the wall at 202 mph during testing on the repaved surface. He’s third behind Brad Keselowski and Jimmie Johnson in the Chase standings entering Sunday’s race.

Childress Fined $150,000 For Busch Altercation

NASCAR has fined team owner Richard Childress $150,000 and placed him on probation through the end of the year for his altercation with driver Kyle Busch.

Keselowski prevailed in a fuel battle in the closing laps of the STP 400, holding off Dale Earnhardt Jr., who was denied a win for the second race in a row.
