85 Years For Admitted Lake Highlands Serial Rapist

A North Texas man confessed to being the serial rapist who terrorized the Lake Highlands area last year. Today Cesar Benitez learned his fate. A judge sentenced Benitez to 85 years in prison.

Cesar Benitez. Once in custody, police say 30-year-old Cesar Benitez confessed to the three rapes committed in Lake Highlands between late-February and mid-March. Arrest and booking photos are provided by local law enforcement officials. Arrest does not imply guilt and criminal charges are merely accusations. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted in a court of law.

Lake Highlands Serial Rapist To Be Sentenced

The man who pleaded guilty to several rapes in Lake Highlands last year will soon learn his punishment. Cesar Benitez is expected to be sentenced on Friday in Dallas.

Suspect In String Of Lake Highlands Sexual Assaults Pleads Guilty

30-year old Cesar Benitez is accused in three sexual assaults that happened in the Lake Highlands area last year. He was arrested in April and Dallas Police say his DNA matched the attacker.
