Despite the continuing turmoil in the Dallas Independent School District, a public high school there has been named best in the country — for the fourth year in a row! The magnet School for the Talented and Gifted at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center ranked No. 1.
The school is large enough to hold 1000 students, but the eastern wing of Dallas ISD’s A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School is the only section where classrooms are operational.
The Science and Engineering magnet High School in Dallas is consistently ranked among the best schools in the country by Newsweek magazine.
