New York Stock Exchange
Though Hurricane Sandy has yet to officially make landfall on the East Coast, the U.S. stock market is already feeling the impact. The U.S. Stock and Options Exchange is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
The shares will stop trading before the opening bell next Thursday. The delisting includes AMR common stock and some company-issued notes.
Stocks are plummeting at the close after anxiety overtook investors on the first trading day since Standard & Poor’s downgraded American debt.
