A new smoking rule passed in Cleburne could keep children and teens out of some businesses. Simply put – if underage kids aren’t with parents, they don’t get in.
First it was bars, restaurants and office buildings. Now the the “No Smoking” battle has moved outdoors. City parks, college campuses and other outdoor venues are putting up signs telling smokers they can’t light up.
A North Texas representative has filed a bill to make all businesses in the state smoke-free. Denton Republican Myra Crownover says House Bill 400 is targeted to protect employees from second-hand smoke.
