FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.com) - Sports-lovers and gourmands unite for the 20th Annual Taste of the NFL.

This year’s event takes place at the Fort Worth Convention Center on Saturday, February 5th from 6-10pm. It’s a food and wine spectacular featuring a top chef from each NFL city paired with a player. Dallas will be represented by Abacus owner/Executive Chef Kent Rathbun and former Cowboy Chad Hennings.

Daryl Moose Johnston and Bobby Flay are on the guest list as well. The delicious charity event benefits the North Texas Food Bank. So lick your chops, fill your belly and spread the buzz.

GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.com) - Look out, Grapevine! An event that calls itself The Best Party In Texas! is hitting the town this Saturday at 9pm.

Embassy Suites Outdoor World will play host to a star-studded event hosted by Bill Rancic (Winner of The Apprentice: Season 1), Giuliana Rancic (E! News) and actress Carmen Electra. Tons of sports figures will be there as well– former Super Bowl champs Bill Bats and Jay Novacek, plus Mike Ditka and 70 of his Gridiron Greats!

DALLAS (CBSDFW.com) – Texas icon Willie Nelson will be performing at The Palladium Ballroom Saturday before the big game.

An Evening with Willie Nelson kicks off at 7pm, and the address is 1135 S. Lamar in Dallas. With the panoramic view of the downtown skyline and spacious dance floor, Palladium puts on a great show!

In fact, Diddy will be performing the next night. Funds will benefit the SPCA of Texas. Ticket are reasonably priced at $200.

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.com) – Food lovers unite next Friday for the Spaghetti Western in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Chefs Tim Love and Mario Batali host a gourmet event at The Love Shack- 110 E. Exchange, FW, 76164. For starters, guests will dine on a Texas-style dinner and specialty cocktails custom-designed by Batali.

They will also perform cooking demonstrations. In addition to the live entertainment, there will be a silent auction benefitting The Mario Batali Foundation.

DALLAS (CBSDFW.com) – Ever heard the name Leigh Steinberg? How about the name Jerry Maguire?

Steinberg is a high-powered sports agent who inspired the movie and has represented legendary athletes like Troy Aikman, John Elway, Lennox Lewis, Oscar de la Hoya, and Ben Roethlisberger. He also just so happens to throw one of the biggest, baddest parties each year during super weekend.

This year marks the 25th Annual Leigh Steinberg Party, and he plans to make it the best one yet! The day will be divided into two parts: 1-5pm is the celebrity meet-and-greet then at 8pm, the big game party begins. The Mercedes-Benz Twitter Race winner will be revealed at 3:30 that afternoon, and there are lots of A-listers taking part in the event. To name a few:

•    Heavyweight boxing champion Evander “Real Deal” Holyfield
•    Fallout Boy’s Pete Wentz
•    Run DMC and MTV reality star Reverend Run
•    NY Yankee Nick Swisher
•    Tennis superstar Serena Williams

Steinberg is also friends with Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords so there will likely be some tributes to her as well. The Party Buzz: NEXT Big Tailgate

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.com) – No stone will be left unturned when the NFL invades DFW. (I’m looking at you, Fort Worth.)

In fact, ESPN and the AFC will be headquartered there for the week leading up to the big game. Sportscenter and the NFL Sunday Countdown are both taking place in Sundance Square. Then, ESPN Magazine’s NEXT Big Tailgate will be at River Ranch in the legendary Stockyards. The address is 500 NE 23rd St. FW, TX 76164.

The NEXT Big Tailgate will have interactive games and activities, and it’s free! Fans can also check out the giant belt buckle made of steel remnants from Texas Stadium. The seven-ton sculpture will be on display at the “NEXT Ranch” on Saturday, February 5th before moving to its permanent home on the Chisholm Trail.

So, take your kids to Tarrant County for some Texas culture and football fun! It’s a daytime event starting at noon and ending by 5pm. Spread the buzz.

The Party Buzz: Diddy & Black-Eyed Peas At Fair Park

DALLAS (CBSDFW.com) – Most of us won’t be able to see Black-Eyed Peas perform the halftime show in person, but there will be an opportunity to see them live in Dallas during the weekend of the big game.

On Friday, February 4th, BEP will be at the Official B4 Party in the Tower Building at Fair Park. The Peas are hosting the event, and partygoers will see live entertainment from will.i.am and David Guetta.

The next evening, Diddy will take over the Tower Building- 3809 Grand Avenue for Fantasy. Originally Fantasy was planned for Friday night, but the production company has moved it to Saturday, Feb. 5th to make room for the Black-Eyed Peas party.

Diddy will celebrate with athletes, celebs and Fantasy Hostesses in a dream-inspired party space. An open bar and delicious buffets will add to the festivities along with music by superstar DJ Clinton Sparks!

The Party Buzz: Frontiers Of Flight Parties

DALLAS (CBSDFW.com) – The Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field Airport will play host to a couple of exciting parties during the super sports weekend.

Thursday night, The Cowboys Gathering sponsored by Mercedes kicks off at 8pm. Almost all the events have celebrities and athletes, but this party will have more Dallas Cowboys than any other place in town! For silver and blue fans, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Seven former players will be hosting that night: Hall of Famers Tony Dorsett, Mel Renfro, and Rayfield Wright alongside Super Bowl XXX MVP Larry Brown, and Cowboys legends Darren Woodson, Bill Bates, Kevin Smith, Leon Lett, and Tony Hill.

Over 50 players are scheduled to participate in the charity casino games which include Blackjack, roulette and craps. Proceeds go to Metroplex Select (Larry Brown’s charity for underprivileged DFW youth). There will also be performances by Cirque Du Soleil and Jim Karol. That weekend at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, the Saturday Night Spectacular takes place with hosts Kevin Costner (Field of Dreams, Dances With Wolves) and Jeremy Piven (HBO’s Entourage). Lamar Blvd. (across from Hurricane Harbor) to check out the site of the Stars & Strikes Celebrity Bowling Bash. 105.3 The Fan’s own Newy Scruggs is hosting the event alongside Dallas Cowboys’ Terence Newman on Thursday, February 3rd at 7pm.

In addition to bowling, participants will enjoy catered food, a silent auction, raffle prizes, and free gifts. Plus, you can dance to live music from Disco Inferno. Jagger & Jasmine will be broadcasting live from the party that night.

The Party Buzz: Remembering Tom Landry

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) – If you missed the Tom Landry exhibit during the State Fair of Texas don’t worry, because due to its popularity, Remembering Tom Landry: The Personal Collection has been extended. Between now and Sunday, February 6th, fans can head to the Hall of State at Fair Park to experience the life of Landry.

His wife, Alicia, has contributed various articles from the famed coach’s closet including his high school varsity letter jacket, the fur-lined trench coat he wore during the Ice Bowl, and of course, his trademark fedora. You can even see the various trophies and awards Landry won during his 28-year career as head coach of the Cowboys.

DALLAS (CBSDFW.com) - Another fun event coming to DFW for the big game is the Jordin Sparks Experience taking place at the Sheraton- 1500 Convention Center Dr. Arlington, TX 76011. The American Idol winner hosts an annual fundraiser to raise money for her charity The M.A.D. Girls.

There are two parts to the experience on Wednesday, February 2nd. From 1-4pm, families are invited to the Teddy Bear Picnic for food and fun. Later that night, 8pm-2am, it’s adults only for dancing and drinks at the Red, White, & Black Affair.
