The 91-year-old Texas Republican who is the oldest-ever member of the U.S. House has been ousted in a primary runoff. Little-known Republican primary challenger John Ratcliffe defeated Rep. Ralph Hall in the first runoff he’d ever faced.

Paxton Wins GOP Runoff For Texas Attorney General

Tea party favorite Ken Paxton has won the Republican nomination for Texas attorney general after a bruising runoff against fellow lawmaker Dan Branch. Paxton is now the favorite to replace Attorney General Greg Abbott, who is running for governor.
