Demoted defensive lineman Igor Olshansky, last year’s starting fullback Chris Gronkowski and veteran kickers Shayne Graham and Dave Rayner were among the players the Dallas Cowboys released on Saturday to get their roster down to 53.
Rayner arrived Tuesday, a day after being cut by the Detroit Lions. He joins a mix that includes incumbent David Buehler, recent arrival Shayne Graham and undrafted rookie Dan Bailey.
Only two teams were worse in accuracy on field goals last season, with the Cowboys making only three of every four attempts.
The Cowboys have signed kicker Shayne Graham, a longtime Cincinnati Bengal who spent time last season with the New York Giants and New England Patriots.
