Driving 85 miles an hour could soon be a legal reality on some Texas highways. The state house has passed a bill that would give the Department of Transportation power to raise the speed limit.
On the road outside Chuck Jendel’s house things too often take a turn for the worse.
“I call it deadman’s curve,” says Jendel “I’ve had people go through my yard and through my driveway.”
Speed limits are still on the table as the city of Dallas looks at possible ways to make running and biking trails safer.
