Oh, to be young and totally broke. You’ve earned your college degree, you’ve landed your perfect super-artsy job where your creativity thrives, your happiness flourishes and your wallet is completely, absolutely, empty. Your checkbook resembles a cavernous black hole or the bottom of a well, depending on how close you are to pay day. Don’t get me wrong; you aren’t doing so bad for yourself. You rent a decent apartment in the trendy part of town, you go out to eat; you can even buy a plane ticket (round trip with stops). But when it comes to shopping? Well, let’s just say the time you spend at Northpark Center involves pressing your nose up against the glass at BCBG, sobbing, why can’t I afford that? Those recently runway-released pumps will just have to remain on the shelves for someone else. This is where we come in. Your number one hobby no longer has to be window-shopping. Generation Y, rejoice in the name of saving money and looking awesome. Just because your wallet is stocked with flies doesn’t mean your closet has to be. We present to you the best thrift stores in DFW.
