Donuts make an easy breakfast to grab on the go and they are a perfect pairing with coffee or milk. It seems like you can find a donut shop on every corner in this city, but to find a truly good one takes a little more effort. 102 S. Main St.
Grapevine, TX 76051
Kountry Donuts is located only a couple blocks from quaint downtown Grapevine. The name of the shop is a good explanation of the atmosphere you will find inside. It is a small shop that just does doughnuts and does them well. Like many doughnut shops in the area, Kountry Donuts is only open in the morning, and the earlier you arrive, the warmer and tastier the doughnuts will be. Their cinnamon twists and kolaches, a Texas favorite, are not to be missed either.
8251 N. Belt Line Road
Irving, TX 75063
Shin’s Donuts has fried breakfast sweets of every shape and flavor. The shop serves fritters, kolaches, croissants and of course, doughnuts and doughnut holes. It may look like just another doughnut shop, but the taste will tell you otherwise. The prices are lower than a standard chain doughnut shop, and the people are friendlier.

Bunkies Donuts has been around for over 30 years, so they have built a following with the people of Richardson. The doughnuts are made fresh everyday which means optimal flavor, but not a place for late-sleepers. You have to get there early for the best selection because once they are gone, they’re gone until the next day. The good news is, it is easy to make a stop on the way to work because Bunkies has a drive-through for quick service.

Hypnotic Donuts is best known for its crazy favor combinations, and for good reason. Patrons can find just about anything that’s edible on top of these doughnuts. One doughnut is covered in vanilla frosting, sprinkles and animal cookies. Another is a glazed doughnut covered with vanilla frosting and jalapenos. There are normal flavors like chocolate or sprinkles available as well for the less adventurous doughnut lovers. There are even vegan donuts available on Mondays. The shop also has free Wi-Fi access so you can hang out for while getting some work done on your laptop — and eating a doughnut or three.

Dale’s Donuts has been creating sweet, sticky childhood memories for generations. The shop itself is quite plain, but the donuts are not. They are light and fluffy, so you won’t want to eat just one. Another highlight is Dale’s apple fritter,s which are a mix of fresh apples, cinnamon and donut batter, fried to perfection.
