Dodge paintballs and duck behind inflatables as you shoot your enemy in this fun, 26,000-square-foot paintball facility. A parents’ lounge with computer stations and Wi-Fi is available. Rates: 1-9 players, $34.95 each; 10 or more, $29.95 each.

Hours: Friday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Official Paintball Games of Texas is recognized as one of the best paintball arenas around Dallas, and for good reason. Enjoy 12 fun courses, including West World, Black Hawk Down and Old Fort, in this outdoor paintball park near Lake Ray Hubbard. No outside paint allowed. Rates: 1-7 players, $19.99 per person; 8+ players, $15.99 per person (based on First Strike Package, four hour session). Walk-on pricing: $25.50 per person for all-day park admission.

Located across the street from Southfork Ranch, the infamous location of the 1980s television show Dallas, Fort Paintball beckons with nine outdoor playing fields spanning over 40 acres. Enjoy Lego fields, Storm the Fort, hay fields, barrel fields, an airball field and woods. Rates (includes all-day admission and all-day air): Package one with 100 paintballs, $25; Package two with 500 paintballs, $40. Walk-on pricing: $20.

XDrenaline Zone is located on the shores of Lake Grapevine, just north of DFW International Airport. Enjoy fun paintball fields, including Ghost Town, Phantom Hill, Plane Crash and The Wall. No outside paint allowed. Rates: $34.99 for 300 paintballs; $39.99 for 500 paintballs. Grenades are available for $5.99.

For an extreme sporting experience, look no further than DFW Adventure Park, which offers paintball, laser combat, Airsoft, wilderness challenges and a Motocross track. Have fun shooting and ducking around in a number of amazing courses, including Trench, Fort Sam Lee, Hyperball, Lighted Airball, The Lagoon and Deep Woods. Rates: Half day, $23; Full Day, $30. There is an additional fee for paint. Walk-ons: $20; $30 if you bring your own paint (see list of prohibited paints). Group rates are available.
