Parents need adult time; time to meet and make friends with other parents. Here is a list of some of the best places for parents to gather, along with their children.

Bake & Play Cafe
6434 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suites 105-107
Dallas, TX 75214
(214) 824-2253
www.facebook.com/BakeandPlayCafe

If you want to dine with friends, you don’t have to find a babysitter. You can bring your little one along to Bake & Play where you can order breakfast, lunch or dinner (muffins, salads and sandwiches) all under $10 and get your little one situated in the playroom. You can eat in peace while your children play in the attendant-supervised 1,600-square-foot playroom complete with an indoor jungle gym, dress-up costume closet, a life-size dollhouse and train table. Bring your socks as they are required for children and adults. Bake & Play offers beer and wine by the glass or bottle. A bonus is it has free wi-fi.

Kidville
6025 Royal Lane
Dallas, TX 75230
(214) 378-7777
www.kidville.com/dallas

Everything from child-and-parent classes to personal shopping services is offered at Kidville. Kidville is like a miniature town complete with all of the things a child from newborn to six years old could want. A first haircut is less intimating in an airplane chair. A stress-free, themed birthday party where all you have to do is provide the address list and show up is a parent’s dream. Kidville offers different membership levels, but once you register for any class, you receive a silver membership for free.
