When it comes to weddings, many times the reception is just as important as the ceremony, so it’s crucial to make a great impression and have a great experience by making sure to pick the right venue. Luckily, DFW offers a variety of venues that appeal to many different tastes and budgets, ensuring that the wedding reception will be one that will never be forgotten.

Because it only recently opened, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science is a great place to host your upcoming wedding reception, if not just because you would be one of the first to do so. The newness of the venue, however, is not the only feature that makes it great for a reception. The museum features 11 permanent exhibit halls and a large and elegant 298-seat theater. With the exhibits and gallery available, this is sure to be a place that would offer a unique wedding reception. The museum can accommodate small receptions or up to 1,500 guests. Wolfgang Puck Catering, the catering service provided through the museum, boasts incredible service, incredible food and a variety of menu options to make your reception exactly the way you want it to be.

If the look and theme that you are going for with your wedding reception is eclectic with a little bit of whimsy, The Quixotic World is a great location. Located in Deep Ellum and used as a theater and event space, this venue has a lot of character. It can accommodate around 200 guests and has capability to include a full-service bar. A sound system and great lighting (since it is also a theater) can be accommodated as well. The furniture is lush and the venue is decorated with eccentric pieces in black, red and gold. This isn’t necessarily your typical wedding reception venue but it is one of the best if you’re looking for something a little different.
