The heat is on and here to stay for a while, and that means it’s time to lighten and brighten.  White is as summertime fresh and fabulous as you can get, and there are several great ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe. Traditionally the white season is between Memorial Day and Labor Day but some of these looks are making their way into year round wear.

Your Perfect White Dress:

And other North Texas locations.

The most obvious way to rock white in summer is with an easy, breezy sundress.  Since white looks great on all skin tones, the only choice you’ll have to make is whether to wear it short or long, and simple or embellished.  Even if you can’t make it to the beach this summer, this Foil Print Smocked Dress by White House Black Market ($158 retail) will make you feel as if you are already there.  It’s simple enough to be dressed down, or you can remove the sash and replace it with a funky metallic belt to dress it up a bit.  Pair it with woven espadrilles and stacked bracelets and you’re ready for a night out on the town. You can find this dress and several other white stunners at your local White House Black Market.

Trendy White Watch:

And other North Texas locations.

White accessories are also key to making a statement this summer.  Wide bangle bracelets, enamel rings, and the eye-catching white watch are all pieces to add to your jewelry box for the hottest months of the year.  The trick to wearing white accessories is to pair them with colorful or neutral ensembles, but never sport all white from head to toe.  (You don’t want people calling you Casper, do you?) White watches have been on the fashion radar for the past few years, and this once-trendy item has become a classic accessory.  Dallas based Fossil has this Ceramic White Multifunction Dial Watch ($225 retail) that will illicit compliments from total strangers and add luster to any look.

White From Head to Toe:

A’Gaci also has four other metroplex locations.

White shoes can be dangerous territory, but not if you know what to pair them with.  Once again, all white from head to toe can be overwhelming to the eye, so mix bright colors or patterns with touches of white when sporting white shoes.  Feet adorned in white highlight your pretty pedicure, and can even look downright elegant.  This pair of ankle strap sandals from A’Gaci are comfortable on the feet and accentuate tanned legs, but won’t break the bank at $18.50.

A House Full Of White:

If wearing white isn’t your cup of tea, there are still ways to bring the crisp, fresh hue into your life.  White accents in the home are all the rage these days, from hotel-worthy white bedding to sparkling white kitchen cabinets.  White can blend in with almost any room’s palette, so placing a few key items around the home can liven up the space.  The Wisteria Outlet near Love Field has an array of swoon-worthy white accents, or you can peruse their website for beauties like this Ceramic Cumulus Stool. For under $280, this multi-purpose pick is the perfect place to add a vase of fresh flowers, your summer book club picks, or use for extra seating at you’re summer shindig.
