Football Player’s Inspiring Story
A Frisco football player’s inspiring story has earned him a shot at going to the Super Bowl.
12-year-old Tyler Sampson was born with half of his right arm, but that hasn’t stopped him from playing on his seventh grade football team.
Tyler plays linebacker and right guard at Griffin Middle School in Frisco.
“They think cause I have one hand, I am not going to be that good. When I first started playing sports, I thought I wasn’t going to be that good either, then once I got the hang of it, I got way better,” said Tyler as he was profiled for the NFL’s “Together We Make Football” contest.
Tyler’s story is one of ten finalists in the competition. The top five vote getters win a trip to this year’s Super Bowl.
