A rash of copper thefts creates a big problem for the Fort Worth school district.
Since May, ten schools in the district have fallen victim to thieves stripping copper from the air conditioning units.
Fort Worth ISD spokesman Clint Bond explains the district self-insures the air conditioners, so the thefts have cost them 150-thousand dollars so far. The district is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects who have stolen the copper from those schools.
