The medical examiner is not ready to say how an Arlington man died during a traffic stop in Coppell.  On Friday, Steven Irwin told officers he felt suddenly ill and started shaking violently as he spit out a small plastic baggie containing an un-determined substance.  Irwin was rushed to a Lewisville hospital where he died.  Until they complete their tests, investigators can’t say for sure there were drugs in the baggie.  They do know Irwin has a record of drug use.  In fact, just four days before he died he was charged with drug possession.  The medical examiner still lists the cause of Irwin’s death as “pending” while they wait for toxicology tests to come back.
