There is a lot of great theater on tap this week!  First up – the much anticipated BILLY ELLIOT-THE MUSICAL finally opens at the AT&T Performing Arts Center.  The Tony award winning musical has wowed audiences around the world for it’s powerful story of a young boy who just wants to dance despite his macho father’s refusal to understand.  It continues through June 19th.

Across town – STOMP rocks the house as the Dallas Summer Musiclas brings the crwod pleasing musical to the Music hall at Fair PArk.  Come out and see how ordinary items become inspired musical instruments and watch with glee as the talented performers dance and totally bring the house down!  It is at the Music Hall for one week.

Head over to Fort Worth as the 2010-2011 50th anniversary season of Texas Ballet Theater presents their final performnaces of the North Texas premiere of DON QUIXOTE.  It’s a great ballet for the whole family with drama, romance, intrigue and comedy.  Tickets range from $19.00 – $99.00 at Bass Performance Hall this Friday through Sunday.

Lastly, don’t forget Jazz Under the Stars!  It’s a weekly free event at the Dallas Museum of Art for the next two Thursday evenings with world class entertainment.  Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy music under the stars!  The msueum is also open for a small ent4rance fee until 9p.
