DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas police are looking assistance from the public in identifying a man found killed and set on fire over the weekend.

The burned human remains were found Saturday morning in a southeast Dallas field.

The Medical Examiner found three tattoos on the victim and Monday released photos of the skin designs. (Photos above and below).

According to Dallas police, a woman found the bones near Wixom Lane and Fireside Drive. Police had to bring in cadaver dogs because bones were scattered across the area.

Initially police thought the remains were from a female but the victim was later determined to be an adult male.

Investigators believe the remains of the victim may have been in the field for several days before being discovered.
