FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – 45 Million people in the U.S. don’t have dental insurance.  Many simply can’t afford it.  So a Fort Worth dentist decided to help some of those people Friday by offering his services for free.

Dr. Ray Snider of Lake County Dental in North Fort Worth opened his office ten years ago. Friday was one of his busiest day ever.  “I knew where would probably be a lot of response.  I know there are a lot of unmet dental needs in the community.”

Dr Snider and his group put out a notice saying that for one day only, they would extract any tooth, do any filling or clean any set of teeth for free.

For some, it was a much needed visit a long time coming  “I’ve had a tooth ache for the last two weeks,” said Roy Kirk, a Korean War veteran.
